I remember reading Lawrence Wright’s A Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda’s Road to 9/11 (Penguin, Rs 599) back when it came out in 2007 and thinking this should be made into a movie while simultaneously feeling relieved that it hadn’t been given the Hollywood treatment.
